This was an activation event set up on the USS Midway during the San Diego Comic-Con in 2015. CraveOnline provided a great party for visitors with free food/drinks/swag, hosted an impressive cosplay competition and booked big bands like Cold War Kids to perform. I worked on all the design materials for this event which included multiple signage items and promotional materials.
This is the postcard for the event.
This is the e-mail flier for the event.
At the event, they set up multiple step and repeat patterns for visitors to have photo ops.
This is the cosplay stage where contestants walked through the runway to show their costumes to the judges and audience. Alienware sponsored this part of the event where we branded the stage trussing with their logo and messaging.
These are the signage items placed around different areas of the carrier ship. It helped visitors find their way around and know which lines to queue up for.
This is the main stage for the bands to perform on. Cold War Kids, Bad Suns, and Cathedral were booked to play for this event.

Crave Invasion was a huge online/offline campaign that covered the E3 and Comic-Con conventions in the summer of 2013. Their sponsor is TNT who were promoting their Falling Skies tv series. I worked on all the design work for this campaign which included digital ads and print materials for the event. Below are design samples from both E3 and Comic-Con.
CraveOnline has set up an activation center outside of the LA Convention Center for E3. Below are some preliminary designs with some signage that went with the tent.
This is the website hub that covered the event.
Here are some of the backgrounds I put together for the green screen photo booth at the event.
These are the graphics used for the video coverage of the event, which are composed of a title screen and lower third.
This is the e-mail invitation that were sent out to the media to attend the event.
This is the front and back sides of the postcard that was passed out to E3 visitors.
For Comic-Con, the focus is on the bus that traveled down from LA to San Diego. An activation event was set up near Petco Park where visitors can line up to go through the bus and collect free swag. Here are the designs for the truck along with photos of how the vehicle came out.
This is the hub for the Comic-Con coverage along with cobrand banners to drive traffic to it.

E3 Crave Island was a massive online/offline campaign that took place during the 2012 E3 event in Los Angeles. I was responsible for all the creative tied to this where it involved creating the look and feel (including illustrating the pixel tiki characters), digital design (hub, web banners, photo booth backgrounds, video graphics) and print work (postcards, signage, tent). It was a great undertaking at the time, but it was also a project filled with passion because of my interest in video game culture. In the end, we achieved a robust campaign to promote the CraveOnline brand with a great activation event that attracted many visitors.
This is the website hub for the E3 Crave Island by CraveOnline. Visitors get to do lots of activities like take pictures at the photo booths, play video games against pro gamers, participate in cosplay competitions, and much more. I customized each section to fit the theme of the page to make it more fun while utilizing my 8-bit tiki character illustrations. The site has been archived to this URL after the event ended: E3 Crave Island Demo
Below are the web banners driving traffic to the site hub. They’re cobranded by CraveOnline and Speed Stick, who helped sponsor parts of the event.
This is the design work on the event tent. I worked with a third-party vendor who gave me specs on the dimensions they need, material they print on, and other various info. The carousel shows a photo of how the tent turned out along with the pieces that went with it (gable, sides, step&repeat, etc.)
This is the flier that promoted Crave Island where I styled it as a vacation postcard. CraveOnline reps were passing these out around the LA convention center to attract visitors to the activation center. Additionally, the stamp on the postcard has a custom QR design that sends a location map to the tent on their phones.
These are the signages placed around the area where they introduce the different sections of the tent. Each set came with the name of the section and a themed illustration to flank the section.
For the video graphics, I designed a title card intro that goes before each interview clip from the site. Below is the design that presented the event and sponsorship with more tiki fun!
These are the green screen backgrounds I designed for the onsite photo booth. Visitors can come and pose with fun, tropical props. After their pictures are taken, they get free printouts while their photos are uploaded onto the E3 Crave Island site in real-time.
